Village Facts
Modern day Huncote has a population of some 2000 people. In the 18th Century the main occupation in Huncote was domestic framework knitting, this changed though during Queen Victoria’s reign and was replaced by quarrying. This improved transport by providing better road links. The old hand-made setts can still be seen as kerb stones in the older part of the village.
