The sought after Leicestershire village of Littlethorpe lies approximately seven miles from Leicester City Centre. Village Facts
In the 9th Century the Danes conquered Leicestershire; ‘Thorpe’ is a Danish word which means ‘a small village which is dependent on a larger nearby village’, hence ‘Littlethorpe’. Littlethorpe is separated from Narborough via the Leicester – Birmingham rail line and the River Soar.
