The sought after Leicestershire village of Littlethorpe lies approximately seven miles from Leicester City Centre. Day to day shopping and leisure facilities are available in the village and in neighbouring Narborough which is within walking distance. Village Facts
In the 9th Century the Danes conquered Leicestershire; ‘Thorpe’ is a Danish word which means ‘a small village which is dependent on a larger nearby village’, hence ‘Littlethorpe’. Littlethorpe is separated from Narborough via the Leicester – Birmingham rail line and the River Soar.
